About me
My artistic practice explores the relationship between the organic and the artificial as an expression of the profound transformations contemporary human identity is undergoing. I work at the intersection of body, memory, and system, investigating how technology, artificial structures, and control mechanisms reconfigure perceptions of self, time, and human relationships.
A significant part of my work is figurative, centered on posthuman representations: hybridized bodies in a state of transition, in which flesh and mechanism coexist without apparent conflict. These figures do not describe a speculative future, but reflect an already active process—the internalization of technology as an extension of perception, memory, and decision. Recurring themes include the obsession with perfection, the illusion of immortality, the loss of intimacy, the delegation of the sacred, and the fragmentation of identity.
In parallel, I am developing a series of abstract works that function as fragments of memory. The compositions are built from modular structures, worn surfaces, industrial signs and traces of the passage of time. They do not represent recognizable spaces, but affective archives — layers of experience, mental places and sedimented memories. Here, the relationship between the organic and the artificial is suggested through texture, rhythm and matter, rather than through figure.
My artistic approach is not narrative or illustrative. I do not seek to provide answers, but to create spaces for reflection. The works propose a suspension of the accelerated rhythm of contemporary reality, inviting the viewer to confront the consequences of progress: what do we lose when we optimize? what remains of the human when identity becomes replicable? what value does memory still have in a world built on continuous updating?
I graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Baia Mare in 2023 and the Master's program in Painting in 2025, training that supports an artistic practice oriented towards visual and conceptual research. Since 2025 I have been a member of the Union of Fine Artists of Romania – Baia Mare Branch. My exhibition activity includes over 30 participations in exhibitions in the country, and in 2025 I was present with a work at the London Design Biennale, in a group project.
My art is neither a celebration of technology nor a rejection of it. It is a form of critical and lucid observation of an era in which the future is being built faster than our ability to understand it.
